Hanai will be collaborating with Mohala Farms (mohalafarms.org) in creating a farm-to-table event on November 9 2024, using what is grown there, as well as, other local farms. The event will feature live music, cooking over fire, gathering in a beautiful Hale looking over Mt Ka'ala. A percentage of proceeds from the dinners will be shared by Mohala Farms and Hanai Collective. Proceeds will also directly benefit The Island Māla's keiki with Farm School tuition assistance and CSA shares (food bags) for families in need. Buy your tix here.

The North Shore Girl Scout Troop will be joining us and the animals at our Mokuleia Farm! The troop will be earning 2 badges: Animal Habitat and Animal Care. We will be adding enrichment structures for our playful herd of goats as well as colorful name signs!

The girls will also be learning about Chicken Care: feeding, watering, proper coop environment, and egg collection. Some of our Island Mala Farm School families will join the troop to give our feathery and hooved friends some love!

Join our hanai family at RYSE for an epic imu using a local wild boar! Plenty of grindz for everyone so come join the fun, learn how to make an imu and make new friends in your community!

Bring the whole ohana to the Hanai Farm in Mokuleia to plant pumpkin starters! Let your kids experience the exciting of starting a plant and seeing the progress of growth over the coming months. Of course there will be a special follow up event when it’s time to harvest!

We will have time after event to take a closer look at the microbes in your own back yard.
